Sugar House is a block-based quilt pattern that is appropriate for comfortable beginners, or any quilter who loves a vintage inspired quilt design.
The Sugar House quilt pattern is a mash-up of two of my favourite traditional quilt blocks: nine patches and houses. Mix and match fat quarters, 1/4 yards, or your stash to create the scrappy chain effect and collection of houses.
In case houses aren't your thing, I've included a simple nine-patch bonus block alternative for an extra sweet vintage finish.
This quilt sews up quickly using a scrappy strip-piecing method to create unique nine-patch blocks, fast.
The quilt pattern is made of 25 blocks, sized differently to either make a 68" square throw or a 90" square bed quilt.
Cover sample is made with Art Gallery Fabrics Pure Solids (colour list included in pattern notes). Bed sized sample is made with a variety of blue scraps for a two-colour effect.
